- roughly where and when (for example the road name), if the problem is about the map or a route;
- screenshots, if you have them.

Reporting a map problem in the app
A missing road, a wrong one-way, a wrong street name or a place in the wrong spot? Your report helps every driver.
- Long-press the wrong spot on the map.
- Choose the problem type, for example “Jalan tiada di peta” (road missing) or “Sehala salah” (wrong one-way).
- Add a note, draw the road on the map, or add a photo if it helps. All optional, except a note for “Lain-lain” (other).
- Send. If you are offline, the report is kept and sent later.
- Wrong search result? In the search results, tap “Hasil tak betul?” (wrong result?).
- While driving: choose “Laporkan masalah” (report a problem) in the navigation menu. If the car is moving, the app only marks the spot (“Tandakan untuk dilaporkan kemudian”, mark to report later) and you finish the report once you have stopped. This is for your safety.
- Check the status: open search, tap Tetapan (Settings), then Laporan saya (My reports). Replies from our team appear there.
Deleting your data
- Open search and tap Tetapan (Settings).
- Under Privasi (Privacy), tap Padam data saya (Delete my data) and confirm.
This deletes the data linked to your installation from our servers and from this phone, and cannot be undone. You need an internet connection; if you are offline, nothing is deleted. Deleting the app alone does not delete data on our servers. Full details are in the privacy policy.
CarPlay
- Connect your iPhone to the car (cable or wireless). Gerak Luu appears on the CarPlay screen.
- Find a destination with “Cari” (search), or choose Rumah (Home), Pejabat (Work) or a nearby search. Pick a route and tap “Mula” (start).
- Phone and car share one trip: navigation started on the phone also shows in the car, and the other way round.
- Gerak Luu needs location permission on the iPhone. If the CarPlay screen does not show your position, open Gerak Luu on the iPhone once and allow location.
- Map problem reports are not made on the car screen, so you can focus on driving.
Frequently asked questions
Does Gerak Luu show live traffic?
Not yet. Travel time is calculated from distance, road type and speed limits, without live traffic data, which is why it is labelled “Anggaran tanpa trafik” (estimate without traffic). At busy times the real trip may take longer.
Are the toll charges shown exact?
They are estimates based on our toll rate data. If part of a route’s tolls cannot be priced, the app shows a minimum (for example “≥ RM 2.10”) or “Tol ?”. The actual charge is set by the highway operator.
Where do speed limits come from?
From OpenStreetMap map data. Many roads have no speed limit in the map yet, so the app shows the usual limit for that type of road as an estimate. Always follow the road signs.
Where does the map come from?
The map is built from OpenStreetMap, a world map edited by volunteers. It can be wrong or out of date; report it in the app and we will fix it.
Do I need to create an account?
No. The app works without an account, name or email.
Can I use it without sharing my location?
Yes, to view the map and search for places. Turn-by-turn navigation needs location.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. Gerak Luu is being built for iPhone and CarPlay first.
When will the app be released?
Gerak Luu is coming soon to the App Store. We have not set a date yet.
